How can a Schroth 3D Patient-Parent Program Help our Family

In our Schroth 3D Scoliosis Therapy Programs parents actively participate and are coached to better help their daughter or son manage their Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS).

Our 6 Day Schroth 3D Patient-Parent Programs are conducted for a single family - the patient and the parent(s).

Each family is provided with

An in-depth documented assessment consultation for their daughter/son’s scoliosis curvature type and posture including a review of recently taken x-ray images and initial postural photos taken at the start of the program.
A customized series of Schroth 3D Scoliosis Therapy Exercises for each patient to perform. Parents are coached to assist their daughter or son. Photos are taken of patients performing their exercises in their corrected posture.
A customized Patient-Parent Schroth 3D Home Exercise Program Manual is compiled during the program. Exercises are documented together with photos. Each family takes away their own manual at the end of their program.

Our Schroth 3D Scoliosis Therapy Programs, encourage empowerment to:

  • Achieve a positive change away from Habitual  idiopathic scoliosis posture
  • Adopt a Conscious posture - a healthy postural awareness in all Activities in Daily living (ADL)
  • Improve overall health related quality of life:
    •   Improved postural appearance
    •   Improved Psychological well-being
    •   Prevention of curve progression
    •   Improved function and mobility
    •   Reduced stiffness and pain
    •   Avoiding Spinal Fusion Surgery

Effectiveness of Schroth Scoliosis 3-dimensional Exercise Therapy Programs

The success and effectiveness of our Schroth 3D Scolisos Therapy Programs for AIS patients, is not solely dependent a patient's commitment to their own Home Exercise Program (HEP), and adherence to Schroth principles of Activities in Daily Living (ADL); but is equally due to the continuing commitment and support they are given by their parents.

Adolescent Patient-Parent Programs adhere to specific guidelines and goals
